HOW DOES EUROVENT WORK?

In general there are three levels of activity:

1.  Collect information about the activities of the EU institutions, especially the Commission, selecting areas of specific interest to the mechanical, electrical, electronic and metalworking industries.
2. Coordinate the opinions of the HVAC-R industry and explain them to the Commission and other EU institutions.
3. Promote relations between member associations.

Eurovent acts as a forum for the exchange of views, working by consensus, co-operating towards the regulatory framework (European Directives, Regulations, Decisions, standards, codes of practice, guidelines, reports ...) as well as towards the Montreal - and Kyoto protocol and the European Climate Change Programme (ECCP)

Eurovent liaises with national and international regulatory, political, and technical bodies, including the European Commission, the European Parliament, European Regulatory Authorities and others.
Eurovent maintains and aims at establishing links with similar associations worldwide.
Eurovent maintains consultative contacts with several other industry associations

As new directives, regulations and standards are developed, Eurovent seeks to influence such regulatory bodies to ensure that the best interests of its members and the industry are met, in line with the goals of Eurovent.
